PLASTIC ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY

COURSE INTRODUCTION
This course focuses on the production of plastic products through injection molding processes (injection molding). Trainees will learn how to prepare materials, tools, molds and identify the types of injection molding machines for the production of the product. After that, trainees will learn the process of production supervision as identify, repair, prevent product defects, quality inspection, and maintenance of the physical properties of the product. Next the trainee will be exposed to the management planning and control the running of the company.
Candidates will be evaluated based on Assessment System Implementation Guide issued by the JPK.The system used is the existing assessment system (ongoing). At the end of this program (after the trainee has attended all units of study), the trainee will be assessed in the final examination which covers both the theoretical and practical.

Level 4 trainee for the Malaysian Skills Diploma, after been through this assessment, the trainee must undergo industrial training and final project to qualify for Malaysian Skills Diploma awarded by the JPK.
